Starting the week of March 4th, 2020, Google Shopping ads will be eligible to appear on Gmail. This update applies to both Product and Showcase Shopping ads. Shopping ads served on Gmail will be reported under the Google Display Network. If your standard Shopping campaigns are opted into “YouTube, Gmail and Discover,” they will be automatically enabled to run on Gmail.
Here’s how you can check if your campaigns have opted into this network:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- Click the Campaigns tab, then click the standard Shopping campaign you would like to check.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Under “Networks,” look for a checkbox next to “YouTube, Gmail and Discover”. If this is checked, your campaign is opted into this network. If not, check it and it will have opted in.
